Ethics is a concern shared by everyone at Zadig&Voltaire.

Imbued with a spirit of audacity and a love for freedom but also tolerance, still inspired by the eponymous hero in the famous philosophical tale Zadig, or The Book of Fate, the Maison has always sought to develop its activities with integrity, respecting differences, protecting people and, naturally, the environment.
Driven by an entrepreneurial culture promoted by Thierry Gillier, its founder, Zadig&Voltaire perpetuates its desire to move forward while respecting the values of responsibility which it considers essential and the major ethical principles which guide its everyday activities, in relations between the brand and its customers, partners and suppliers as well as all employees.

These key principles are formalised by a Code of Ethics whose purpose is to help teams to understand what is expected from an employee and to promote upstanding and exemplary professional behaviour in all circumstances. This document applies to all Zadig&Voltaire employees, everywhere in the world, at all levels of the company, without exception, and defines essential principles.
A Group Ethics Committee has also been formed, with 3 missions:
- Continue to increase awareness and improve application of the Ethics Code and the principles it defends;
- Respond to the requests of all Zadig&Voltaire employees, whether simple requests for clarification on the interpretation and application of the Code, or claims for alleged failure to respect one of the Group’s ethical principles.
- Serve as a source of proposals to help bring about change in Zadig&Voltaire’s policies and actions.

A dedicated alert line:
Any employee can use the internal Zadig&Voltaire alert line, in complete confidentiality, to report any behaviour or situation which is contrary to the Ethics Code or a traditional, legal or regulatory standard, in accordance with the professional alert procedure adopted by Zadig&Voltaire. This alert system allows employees to send an email, in their own language, to a dedicated email address: zadigetvoltaire@alert-online. A Whistle-blower Charter has also been implemented.
