The Fondation des Femmes, a donor-advised fund sheltered by the Fondation de France, is the reference structure in France working to promote women’s freedom and rights and combat the violence to which they can fall victim. The donations it receives allow it to provide financial, legal and material support to high-impact community initiatives throughout France.

As part of a circular economy, Zadig&Voltaire has used iconic fabrics from its archives as well as textile labels from previous collections to make more than thirty different tote bags. These bags were made in France by the workshops in the Résilience network, which groups together welfare-to work (entreprise d’insertion) and disability-friendly companies. Since the initiative was launched in all Zadig&Voltaire French stores in April 2022, all profits from the sale of these tote bags has been donated to the Fondation des Femmes, in order to contribute to the missions which the foundation has been supporting since its creation in 2016.

In 2023, to celebrate International Women’s Day, Zadig&Voltaire is extending the initiative to a number of European countries in order to increase the financial support it offers the Fondation des Femmes.
