The juxtaposition of about twenty works of art with key pieces from the brand allows to discover its influences and inspirations. Based on an interview with Thierry Gillier, Nicole Phelps signs an intimate portrait of the brand and its creator. This text offers a retrospective look at Zadig&Voltaire, its origin, creation, success and evolution. Composed of three types of paper, this book is a beautiful editorial object. The main photographs are printed in black and white on uncoated paper; as for the works of art and iconic clothing and accessories, they are in colour, on coated paper. Finally, a full reproduction of Voltaire's philosophical tale Zadig or Destiny is distributed throughout the volume, in the form of an insert.
