Description and information
The first monograph on the Zadig&Voltaire brand published for its 25th anniversary - French version.
Through photographs of runway shows, parties, memorable advertising campaigns and iconic brand pieces, this volume traces the history of the most Parisian fashion brand and captures its essence. From advertising campaigns with muses Kate Moss or Erin Wasson, to post-show parties, this monograph celebrates the vision of founder Thierry Gillier and the modern, rock, chic and casual style he imagined. The juxtaposition of about twenty works of art with key pieces from the brand allows to discover its influences and inspirations.
Based on an interview with Thierry Gillier, Nicole Phelps signs an intimate portrait of the brand and its creator. This text offers a retrospective look at Zadig&Voltaire, its origin, creation, success and evolution.
Composed of three types of paper, this book is a beautiful editorial object. The main photographs are printed in black and white on uncoated paper; as for the works of art and iconic clothing and accessories, they are in colour, on coated paper. Finally, a full reproduction of Voltaire's philosophical tale Zadig or Destiny is distributed throughout the volume, in the form of an insert. A beautiful addition to the libraries of all fashion enthusiasts.
